As a technology enthusiast, you can often find me talking about one of my favorite topics - smart homes. Since my early days as a System Integrator, it has always been easy for me to scale down commercial control systems to piece together a cool smart house. But for the rest of the world, the promise of a fully integrated smart house remains something found only in the very elite of homes. I would argue that a sea change in the way we deploy smart homes will be necessary to bring this dream to the masses.
