Early this morning, the Niagara Framework counter on Tridium.com hit 200,000. It's a big milestone for us. Bak when I first started with Tridium in early 2004, we stood at about 20,000 instances. It took 4 years to hit 100K and then a little over 2 years to double that. That's a great rate of acceptance in the marketplace.

Last night (Sunday, July 18), the CBS Evening News featured the MedCottage by N2Care. The MedCottage is a small housing structure that can be placed in a back yard where an elderly family member can reside and be monitored. It's an option for care givers where the senior can reside with family yet maintain a sense of independence. It provides an option to living in a senior care environment.

The 2010 Niagara Summit is now in the history books and I'm still trying to catch up from the days many of us spend in Las Vegas.

In two weeks I leave for Las Vegas and my fourth Niagara Summit. Time has flown by.

It's hard to believe that it's February already. The clock is ticking and the Niagara Summit is right around the corner.

Many of you have sent me emails, asked me at trade shows, called me wanting to know when registration would open for the Niagara Summit. Thanks for your patience because registration is now open!

A few years back, in my pre-Tridium days, I lived and worked in the Washington, DC suburbs. August was one of my favorite times of the year - not because I enjoyed heat and humidity (I don't)- but because it was the time of year when alot of people went on vacation and my commute was manageable.

Last week I had the opportunity to visit the Living Zero Home at the Taste of Chicago. The Living Zero Home Tour showcases Tridium's Smart Home Technology and is organized by the US Department of Energy.I've posted a few pictures on the Niagara Summit 2010 Facebook page.

It's (almost) springtime in my neck of the woods. Which can only mean that most people in my area are discussing whether the Cubs or White Sox will win the World Series this year. But for me, it means that the heavy planning for the 2010 Niagara Summit is kicking into gear. For the 2010 event, we're trying some new things that I'd like to introduce to Niagara Central. Yep, I've jumped on the bandwagon and created both a Twitter and a Facebook page for the event.
